What types of partnerships work well with a solitary setting cathedral engagement ring?

My finace is seeking some ideas on the best type of wedding band for couples with her engagement ring. The engagement ring is a 18kt white gold, the establishment of the cathedral a round brilliant diamond solitaire, 1.75tw. I would appreciate any opinion about the type of wedding band that works well with the engagement ring. She is quite traditional with respect to jewelry. At this time, we both think that something with a little "spark" that might work better with solitaire diamond. Any ideas or resources recommended would be greatly appreciated. We're trying to get some ideas together before going to the jewelry. Thanks to all who respond!

I have to respond to this. Sarolite, I do not know you, but I designed that ring on your link first for some time. It is probably a copy that I can have some gaps between stones was not my intention. Anyway … For the individual boyfriend, when you say 1.75tw (tw = total weight), which involves other stones, are there? A nearly perfect match to Cathedral can be done. Depending on the variety the engagement ring is a coat or a guard may not be practical. You want to keep this wearable "every day." For further calculations for the band, after diamonds, is likely to be looking at something less than 3 mm wide. A .03 ct diamond is 2 mm wide. This I give as a reference. It Ideally you want at least 1 mm of gold on each side to hold. Depending on the variety you want the band, this will come into play. This (0.03 ct diameter) subtract 4 mm wide. The best way to measure how wide you want the band that is trying to bands of different widths. Any jewelry should be decent with a selection of bands available. Even if they are yellow, the width is what you are selecting. From there you can plan the rocks. This is what I see, a band matching the slope of the ring, immersion in the apex down to draw attention to the center of the stone … I would like to include a picture of it … Diamonds channel set through of the band. I hope the picture is somewhat clear to you. If you talk to a designer of this, they know exactly what I'm getting. The number of diamond band is entirely up to you. Well done, you can add more later. This is a ring that I love to do. Kind of wish I was back in the bank again.
