Expensive gifts stupidity. What would you do?

After being with a partner for almost four years I decided to give a milestone birthday special. So I bought a car and also an engagement ring worth almost £ 2,000. She was the birthday of his life as expected. Then just under 6 months later things went down and we parted. Would you expect to get the gifts and the ring back?
