What engagement ring it if we like two different metals?

My boyfriend likes me like gold and white gold. He likes the lonely, and I like something with side accents. Hes very traditional, and I am too, for the most part. I like round-cut, and I like princess cut. Apparently we are very different .. haha We are not the richest people in the world and I do not want to spend more than $ 700 in the ring.
